Sutton Tennis Academy players get started in the Corby British Tour this week. Antonia Smallbone won her first round match in the qualifying event and waits to play tomorrow. While Rebecca Finch gets set for her first match today.

Congratulations to Lily Miyazaki and Wallis Vitis who both won their first round of main draw in the Tunisia Grade 2 ITF event. After a few days of disruptive rain play got underway and Lily won her qualifying match! Both girls then competed in their first round matches after Wallis getting in as a lucky loser.

On Thursday 12th January 2012 Sutton Tennis Academy were pleased to welcome Greg Rusedski and the MANTIS team here at The Sutton Tennis Academy. Two of our juniors were granted the opportunity to hit with Greg and try out the NEW MANTIS RACKETS! Sutton Tennis Academy players Luke Stevenson and Piers Holt were two of the lucky players to take part.

MANTIS sign Greg Rusedski as Brand Ambassador
Exciting new UK based tennis brand MANTIS have today announced former British number 1 Greg Rusedski as brand ambassador.
The new addition to the MANTIS team comes on the back of a successful first full year in the market, which has also seen them become the official tennis racket and ball partner to the AEGON Masters Tennis Championship.
Rusedski, a US Open finalist, former World number 4 and Great Britain Davis cup star, will play a major role in future product development and an active part in the testing of new MANTIS ranges.
The Wimbledon quarter finalist will be using a MANTIS Tour 305 racket in his day to day role as a talent and performance ambassador for the Lawn Tennis Association.
Rusedski, who also works as a tennis pundit on TV, said; “I am delighted to be joining the MANTIS team as an ambassador for this exciting new British brand.”
